Featured Food Selections

Duck à l’Orange

A timeless favorite returns to Bascom’s this July. Our roasted half duck is served with scalloped potatoes, haricot verts, orange supreme, and finished with a rich Grand Marnier and orange gastrique. Elegant, comforting, and unmistakably classic.

Burrata Salad

Perfect for summer, this vibrant salad features creamy burrata atop fresh arugula with smoky heirloom tomatoes, pickled onions, toasted pistachio crumble, truffle essence, house vinaigrette, and aged balsamic glaze.

A Summer Journey Through Bordeaux

This month we are featuring exceptional wines from Bordeaux, one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions. While many wine lovers associate Bordeaux exclusively with powerful red wines, the region produces an incredible diversity of styles.

Our focus this July is Pessac-Léognan, one of Bordeaux’s most historic and often overlooked sub-regions. Home to legendary estates such as Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion, and Latour-Martillac, Pessac-Léognan combines centuries of winemaking tradition with remarkable quality.

Featured White Wine
Château de Cruzeau Blanc – $75 Bottle
Produced in the classic Pessac-Léognan tradition, Château de Cruzeau Blanc is crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc with a brief aging in French oak.

Bright, refreshing, and expressive, this wine is intended to be enjoyed in its youth. Crisp enough to serve as an aperitif yet complex enough to pair beautifully with seafood, it is an ideal companion for Florida’s summer season.

Featured Red Wine
Château La Louvière Rouge 2016 – $125 Bottle
A Cabernet Sauvignon-based Bordeaux that embodies everything enthusiasts admire about the region. Savory, earthy, structured, and elegant, this wine was made for rich cuts of steak.

The 2016 vintage is regarded as one of Bordeaux’s finest vintages of the twenty-first century, and we are pleased to offer it while supplies last.

The André Lurton Legacy
Both Château de Cruzeau and Château La Louvière are owned by André Lurton, one of Bordeaux’s most influential wine families and the largest landowner in the region. Their dedication to quality spans all five major Bordeaux sub-regions and continues to shape the reputation of Bordeaux worldwide.

The Perfect Finale
Charmes de Rieussec Sauternes – $14 Glass
For dessert, Beverage Director Cory Whitehurst recommends a glass of Charmes de Rieussec paired with our Crème Brûlée. Rich, honeyed, and beautifully balanced, it provides the perfect ending to a memorable meal.

The Spirit of Independence: WhistlePig Rye Whiskey

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, we reflect on the traditions and craftsmanship that helped shape our nation. Few products are woven into American history quite like whiskey.

American Rye Whiskey predates Bourbon by centuries, and few modern producers have done more to revive the category than WhistlePig Distillery of Shoreham, Vermont.

Founded in 2008 and opening its world-renowned distillery in 2015, WhistlePig has helped reintroduce Rye Whiskey to a new generation of enthusiasts.

The Shot Heard Around the World: E.H. Taylor Collection

Kentucky’s role in America’s early history helped shape the frontier spirit that would eventually become synonymous with Bourbon.

Colonel E.H. Taylor later transformed the whiskey industry itself, becoming one of themost influential figures in Bourbon history and helping establish many of the quality standards still followed today.

To honor his legacy, we’re featuring four distinctive E.H. Taylor expressions.

Saratoga – $32

Looking Ahead: Bordeaux Dinner

America’ s first alliance with France helped secure our independence, and Bordeaux remains one of the world’s great wine regions. Thomas Jefferson himself was a devoted collector and admirer of Bordeaux wines, famously recognizing many of the estates that would later become icons of the region.

We invite you to continue the journey at our Second Annual Bordeaux Dinner on Friday, August 14th.

Featuring five expertly prepared courses paired with six exceptional Bordeaux wines, this special evening will explore one of the most diverse and celebrated wine regions on earth.

Additional details and reservations will be announced soon.
